More about me:	CHETES, born Gerardo Garza, is already a legend in the alterna-Latin music scene. In 1995 he joined the Monterrey, Mexico, modern-rock band Zurdok. He was the principal songwriter for their albums Antena, Hombre Sintetizador and Maquillaje. During his six years with the band, Zurdok became one of Mexico’s pioneering alt-rock groups and got national exposure on MTV Latin America and Telehit, among other outlets. After the break-up of Zurdok, CHETES kept a low profile for a while, but rumors floated around that he was working on some exceptional material. The songs were elusive and only a few people claimed to have heard them. The mystery was solved in 2005 with the release of the self-titled album by a new group, Vaquero, a three-piece comprising Chetes, bass player Maurizio Terracina and drummer Rodrigo Guardiola. Vaquero paved the way for BLANCO FÁCIL – some songs that weren’t used for Vaquero inspired CHETES to begin a new project. Armed with a new way of making records – a vibrant combination of old-fashioned musicianship and cutting-edge technology – and the blessing of Nashville, a city that lives and breathes music, CHETES emerged with a dozen extraordinary songs. From CHETES’ vocals to the minute auditory details, there’s feeling and emotion throughout – not a second or a beat is wasted.
