At a young age, Ivette began to perform locally and serenaded many for more than a decade in her native, Boston, MA. Her undeniable talent quickly attracted all that listened to the sweet voice. At times a very strong, melodious sound, full of rhythm and passion, and yet very sweet and entertaining.
There was no doubt, that this young lady would achieve all that she set her heart on; she performed for various festivals in Massachusetts, most notably the Puerto Rican Festival in Boston.
Ivette began as a solo act, slowly incorporating dancers to her show and then joining "Grupo Chevere" and "Descarga Total", with whom she learned to appreciate a variety of rhythms and sounds.
After various years of performance and song, she decided to finish her degree in Business at Suffolk University's, Sawyer School of Management. (Class '07)
This being one of the most rewarding experiences;
her parent's taught her the importance of education and hard work, therefore crediting her mother (Puerto Rico) and father (Guatemala) for all that she is today.
Baptized as "La Chica X" by Tony Molina, she has embarked on a new journey within music. Today, she is one of the young voices that graces the air waves; her soft, sensual and sweet voice is heard on La Super X 1410 A.M. Her undeniable charm on the air, makes "El Rincon de La Salsa", which she co-hosts with Pedrito Santiago every Sunday afternoon, a pleasure to listen to.

Sobre la Amistad
No puedo darte soluciones para todos los problemas de la vida,
tampoco tengo respuestas para todas tus dudas o temores, pero puedo escucharte y
buscar los desenlaces junto contigo.
No puedo evitar que tropieces, solamente puedo ofrecerte mi mano
para que te sujetes a ella y no caigas.
Tus alegrías, triunfos y tus logros no son míos, pero disfruto
sinceramente cuando te veo feliz.
No juzgo las decisiones que tomas en la vida, me limito a apoyarte,
estimularte y ayudarte si me lo pides, y si no me lo pides también.
No puedo evitar tus sufrimientos cuando alguna pena te parte el
corazón, pero puedo llorar contigo y recoger los pedazos para rearmarlo de nuevo.
No puedo decirte quien eres ni quien deberías ser, solamente puedo quererte tal
